Video or Audio is Not Available for a Webmeeting

With the Solgari Webmeeting, Chrome browser needs to be used.

If issues with audio or video are experienced, this can usually be fixed by checking the Chrome settings. 

First time users need to allow Chrome to use their microphone and camera, they will get the pop up show on right, when joining the meeting. 

 

If access has been denied, the camera icon on the right side of the address bar will have a red cross over it as shown below. 

To fix this, follow these steps;

  1. In the top-right corner of Chrome, click the Chrome menu.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Scroll down to Show advanced settings.
  4. Go to Privacy and click on Content Settings.
  5. Go to Camera or Microphone and click on Manage exceptions. 
  6. Inside exceptions, ensure that the hostname of the meeting is not blocked. If you see the meeting hostname blocked, press the X to delete the entry. Click Done.
  7. Relaunch Chrome and go back to the invitation email. Click the join button to join the meeting again. Make sure that you “Allow” your camera to be used.

If the attendee has allowed Chrome access, but still is having issues, check the microphone and camera used are correct. 

Easiest way to do this is to click on the camera icon on the right side of the address bar.

This will open a selection window which shows which Microphone and Camera are being used, and either can be changed from the drop down menu. If any changes are done, it might be necessary to log in and out of the meeting.
